U10 Away Race Included:
Just like last year, registration fees for our U10 groups include the Kimberley Nancy Green away race in
March. GKHAT sent an incredible 47 racers to this event last season and we are already looking
forward to next year’s amazing weekend.

Please review the Parent Handbook for this season. This Handbook provides a detailed overview of GKHAT's programming and policies. All new and returning families are required to review this handbook in full before registering for 2024-25 programs.

GKHAT Online Auction  Nov 8 -16 2024!

 


The Annual Golden Kicking Horse Alpine Team Online Auction starts:

Friday, November 8 at noon and will run until 9 p.m. on Saturday November 16. 

GKHAT Families, please note that participation in the auction is mandatory for all GKHAT families including minis, as this fundraiser helps us keep registration fees as low as possible for everyone.  

The deadline to submit auction items is November 2.

Now is the time to work on getting that great item/experience/service to help make this event a success. Visit the GKHAT Auction page on our website for all the resources and tips we have! 

The auction site link will available HERE. This is where you'll be able to get a sneak peek at all the great items, experiences and services up for grabs, or to place your bids once the auction opens!

 Ski Swap November 2, 2024                                                                                     


GKHAT will be hosting the Ski Swap again this year on the first weekend in November.

Sale takes place Saturday, November 2, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Mount 7 Rec Plex.

Gear drop off takes place Friday November 2 from 5-9 PM. Print off and fill out the gear drop off form in advance if possible to help speed things up. Fees to enter your gear in the swap must be paid at time of drop off.

Unsold Gear/Cash Pickup after the sale takes place from 5-7PM Saturday.

Please be sure to read this article before signing up. It is important that an adult in the family register first as the primary contact. After that person has registered, that individual can then add a partner/spouse and their athletes.

2024-25 GKHAT Board & Committee Updates

Our Annual General Meeting took place on April 14 and we had one of our biggest turnouts for an AGM. Thank you to those who attended & volunteered to join the board, committees & just plain offered to get involved and help!

Please join us in thanking the outgoing board members who have given so much time and energy to this club:
- Tracy Van Zalingen (remaining as past president)
- Rhonda Laurell
Tracy and Rhonda are still actively helping to get us organized going forward. We are pleased to announce that we have a mostly full board and lots of great energy and momentum to ramp up the 2024/2025 season!

Our AGM was awesome and we have lots of great individuals who have signed up to make GKHAT a success. Current areas we could use help include: 

  • Race Committee Members 

  • Auction organizers  
  • Fundraising help in general 
  • Participation in the Yurt replacement committee 
  • Board members in training - if you're interested in joining the board in the future we can pair you up with our current board to learn the ropes and help them out! 

We are a welcoming, inclusive group. No experience necessary.
