Hello GKHAT Families,

We are getting closer and closer to the big day and we are all getting excited!

We are sending out the group list at this time so you can keep getting excited and know who to look for on day one. Just follow this link to learn the coach your child will start with.

We really do our best to match the skiers in the groups as much as possible, but there is always some moving and shifting in the first couple weeks as everybody remembers how to ski and we see how the groups work on the snow. Thanks for your patience in this process.

We also would like to remind you about the Meet and Greet information night this Saturday evening at the Rex Plex in Golden. Hope to see you all there!

Please follow this link for a copy of the yurt cleaning schedule for this season. There is a schedule for Friday, Saturday and Sunday families. Because all our athletes eat in the yurt, it is very important we all do our part to keep it clean (and clear of varmints). Duties include: tidying the tables and chairs, wiping tables, sweeping the floor, removing recycling and garbage and general cleanup of the space. Thank you in advance for your time and effort in keeping the yurt a clean and safe place for our athletes. If you have questions or concerns about this, please contact Rhonda via email at volunteer.coordinator@gkhat.ca.

Cheers,
Ryan, GKHAT Head Coach

Hello GKHAT Families,

With the start of the ski season coming on fast, you’ve noticed that there is an increase in communication. It’s important that we keep everyone aware to ensure a smooth start to the season.

On December 9 at 7:00 pm, we would like you to join us at the Rec Plex in Golden, BC to meet the coaches and board members. The Rec Plex is located at 1310 – 9 St S.

This is a great opportunity to learn what’s new and what’s the same. For new families, you will be able to meet you coach an get to know what the GKHAT coaching team is like. Even if you have meet with the GKHAT crew in the past, you might as well come out. It’s a great opportunity to socialize.

Don’t forget that you can always find the most current information at the website (www.gkhat.ca).

We look forward to seeing you at the meet and great on December 9th.

Thank you
Bob Gohill

Hello GKHAT Families,

The final count is $18,484! WE SURPASSED OUR GOAL!

It was our biggest ever in numbers- the most participants, the highest number of bids, and the best part, the most money raised for our team in an auction. Thank you to all who participated in the auction and to those who shared it with friends and family, almost $6000 of that came in from people not connected to GKHAT. This brings our 5 year total to over $80,000 in funds to help to support and develop our teams.

We’re working hard to get the items out to the winning bidders and looking forward to saying thank you to each of you who helped us reach this goal.
