Nancy Greene E1 Program - Ages 4 to 8 Years

E1 – 1/2 Day Program - Ages 4 to 6 Years

This entry-level program is designed for the child starting out in a club program. The half days are less strenuous and allow the child to develop at his or her own pace. Children at this age also tend to have shorter attention spans and physical endurance so this helps to alleviate the stress on the child. Kids will learn how to improve their skiing skills through fun games and on-hill activities. Groups are kept small to ensure good interaction and coach supervision. Kids have the option to participate in the ski race in Golden but this is not the main focus. "FUN" damentals are key for this group.

Program runs Saturday or Sunday

Morning session 9:30 - 11:30 or Afternoon session 12:30 to 2:30.

Groups will be combined if there is not a minimum number for each session. Parents will be notified in advance should this occur.

E1 – Full Day - Ages 5 to 8 Years

Children are taught by certified coaches and are introduced to the sport of ski racing although this is not the emphasis. Kids are placed into groups based on ability and are taught to improve their skiing skills through games and on-hill ski drills. Kids are encouraged to ski the entire mountain and explore in a variety of terrain and setting environments. Children ages 5 & 6 will be assessed by coaches to ensure they are ready for the full day program.

This program runs from 9:30 to 2:30 and children are supervised over lunch. Parents are encouraged to help out small children with dressing and using the washroom.

E1 – 2 Day - Ages 7 to 8 Years

This program is similar to the E1 Full day but children ski both Saturday and Sunday. Kids in this program should be keen with good skiing basics, experience and autonomy.

*Before registering, please ensure that your child is able to ski independently on green runs (no harnesses), has enough control to initiate stopping and is comfortable using a chairlift (we're happy to give them a boost if they need it!).
